Homelessness is a very stressful time for children as they experience constant change and, often times, very traumatic events. Volunteers of America would like to provide a space on its Sacramento Family Shelter property where the only thing a kid has to worry about is just being a kid.
To that end, we are partnering with KaBOOM! on a playground project that will provide an oasis of carefree fun for the children in residence.
Won't you help us provide the children who stay at our Family Shelter with happy memories during this difficult time in their lives?
